Mission
Yomashka is an intuitive abstract painter based near Warsaw, Poland. Her work explores emotional states, inner transitions, and moments of attunement that often resist language. Painting is for her a form of listening — to the body, to subtle emotional shifts, and to what emerges in times of change.
A central focus of her practice is the evolving role of women in contemporary “tribes” and social structures. Yomashka is particularly interested in female sexuality as a potential source of cultural renewal. In a world where pornography increasingly defines what is perceived as “normal” sexuality, she observes a growing tension around women’s identity and agency.
Her work responds to the narrowing narratives imposed on women — divided between ideals of purity and rigid moral standards on one side, and objectification on the other. Through abstraction, Yomashka seeks to create space for redefining positive, embodied sexuality beyond outdated frameworks, inviting reflection, presence, and emotional awareness.
New series
The new series takes a closer look at female sexuality as a psychological, emotional, and cultural force. Through abstraction, the works explore desire, intimacy, vulnerability, and agency beyond simplified or imposed narratives. Each artwork is accompanied by psychological notes and theories that offer additional layers of meaning, inviting reflection rather than instruction.
The series addresses the tension between traditional moral frameworks and the contemporary normalization of pornified sexuality, questioning how these extremes shape women’s self-perception. By creating space for nuance, embodiment, and inner listening, the project seeks to support a redefinition of positive, conscious sexuality rooted in autonomy, presence, and emotional truth.
